BILL BLUE BAND LP STREETPREACHER (Feather Recs). Released 1975.
Very few copies of this truly inspiring record were made. Released around the same time as "Greetings From Asbury Park NJ," Streetpreacher shares much with that great album. Bill Blue cut his teeth at the same Grace St Richmond VA clubs where Springsteen's band Childe played on a monthly basis. Bruce Courson's beautiful piano playing would've made a great foil to Springsteen's versing. To hear what I mean, check out "Ain't It Funny" (5:10), which got steady airplay on Richmond's WGOE. Also recommended is Willie Dixon's "Little Red Rooster."
Bill Blue on guitar, dobro, harmonica & vocals. Johnnie Pierce on lead guitar. Bill "Dodah" Robison drums. Eye-catching cover art by Tom Nugent. Pretty textured cover & custom label design. Best as I can tell, this is the only release on Richmond's Feather Records. Produced by John Boyer & Ralph Pinto. This record was recorded by Alpha Audio Studio's Joe Horner & Carlos Chafin. No seam splits, stickers, writing, tears, water damage, puncture holes, cut-out marks, price tags, or color fading. Only faint ring wear. No speckling. Nice flat cover free of warps, bends, bows & ripples. No sun washout. Label looks excellent with no blemishes. Sharp cut hole with faint transparent spindle brushings. Slightly corner & spine denting, but otherwise a nice-looking package!

No scratches, scuffs or flecks. No stains, skips, warping, or residue on the disc or dead wax. Beautiful reflective rainbow sheen on platter surface. Album has been safely stored upright in smoke-free, climate-controlled conditions.
