BILL SWIFT TRIO
featuring Drenda Barnett
BST + 1Private press LP from 1972 that was only ever available in a plain white sleeve. No label name. This album was only ever sold in person by Bill Swift from the very stage at the club where they were resident in Fort Worth TX. No copies ever made it to stores, and none saw any kind of distribution. Music comprises of wicked funky Hammond, guitar, flute and some incredible soulful jazz vocals from Drenda Barnett that conjure up images of Spanky Wilson and Marlena Shaw in full flow and at their very best! 'Chain of Fools' is awesome, a full 5 minutes of full-on funky soul jazz with everyone stretching out and does not let up - 'Why do you do me this way' is an original that stays in the same groove while Aretha's 'Daydreamin' is pure bliss - this song should have gone big!
Sleeve is NM generic plain white stock sleeve (all copies are like this)
Vinyl is UNPLAYED NM with slight storage warp not affecting play.

We use the following grading system:
Sealed : Factory sealed, as new condition and unopened since manufacture
NM : Very clean, shiny and like new
VG++ : Clean vinyl, few if any marks which will be light and not affecting play
VG+ : Marks on vinyl but no scratches that make any significant noise, plays well
VG : Marks and light scratches on vinyl, plays ok with some noise here and there but nothing detrimental to the overall sound
