The debut album BLACK SABBATH, which was recorded in two days in the studio (probably 11-12 November 1969 with. And, seixena cost 600 pounds), and then issued on February 13, 1970, on Friday (!) , after which it took up in the British charts 8th place!!!!!!
The matrix and mother stampers.
side a. ''VO6'' ''2Y'' ''*1'' ''420 1''
side b. ''VO6'' ''1Y'' ''*1'' ''420 1''
The labels.
The original labels are graded as excellent plus features the swirl on side a. and the swirl logo and track listings on side b.(only early press)!!!!! All rights.... are featured around the label rim(only early press)!!!!!!!
The vinyl.
The vinyl is graded as excellent plus\near mint!!!!!!! (please note this vinyl has (not) been over played nor are there any signs of grooveware!!!! i have played this through and the audio quality is superbe cristal clear and extreemely vibrant!!!! visually there are very (very) few surface marks\scuffs (no) needle scratches at least i couldn't see any even in extreeme light, at least (none) that effect the audio!!! To be highly crytical there is a small scuff mark that looks like a finger nail scuff that is visable when looked for. However i have played this track through a couple of times and i never heard any problems. The audio on this pressing in my opinion is as good as it gets for a very 1st pressing!!!!!For any of you audiophiles there is very minor background noise that can be lightly heard on track 2 side a for approximately 30 seconds in the quiet part of the track at the beginning but as soon as the audio livens up this is soon forgotten!!!! I would class myself as highly critical and this is a truly exceptional sounding vinyl and the 1st by this awesome band ''black sabbath''!!!!!!!!
The cover.
This is the original gatefold (non) laminated cover with black on the inside opening (only early 1st press later were white) which also has the lyric and track contents in the cross (please note) the title credit for ''warning'' on this cover is (not) featured (only early press)!!!! this cover is graded as excellent\excellent plus!!!!! this shows very (very) minimal storage ware hardly any to the corners and spine (see photo) in bright light an indentation of writing can be seen on the front but you really have to look for this and it really doesn't detract from the rarety of the superbe condition of this 1st pressing cover which is nearly 37 years old!!!!!!!!(see photo)
The record sleeve.
This is the original swirl polythene lined record sleeve patented and made in england. this is excellent with (no) splits very (very) slight staining\fading with age but still graded as excellent!!!!!! (please note this is stored seperately from the vinyl!!!!!!
Please do not underestemate the rarety of this 1st pressing in this condition, they are rarely seen like this!!!!!!!
i have taken quit a few photos so that every aspect of the album can be clearly seen and i have super sized the photos!!!!!
Please note! I despatch all of my items by recorded delivery with insurance and tracking. I always despatch by the next day of cleared funds and always securely with reinforcement.!!!!!!
