Please note that this is a genuine 1st pressing!!! Pressings that feature the phillips records on the labels are also 1st pressing and are indeed rare but with regards to my correspondance with record  collector magazine their information contradicts that labels with a phillips product are earlier pressings! The rare record collector is used for many sellers as their grading system and a guide to references for 1st UK pressings . The debut album BLACK SABBATH, which was recorded in two days in the studio (probably 11-12 November 1969 with. And, seixena cost 600 pounds), and then issued on February 13, 1970, on Friday (!) , after which it took up in the British charts 8th place!!!!!!

The labels.

The original labels are graded as new condition features the swirl on side a. and the swirl logo and track listings on side b.(only early press)!!!!! All rights.... are featured around the label rim(only early press)!!!!!!! I can hardly see any spidering and hardly any spindle ware  which indicates that this has hardly been played very (very) rare for an album that is 36 years old!!!!!

The vinyl.

The vinyl is absolutely superbe on initial visual inspection this looks like new and still retains its sheen from new!!!!!! (please note this vinyl has (not) been over played and indeed hardly played at all !!!! nor are there any signs of grooveware or distortion!!!! i have played this through track for track and the audio quality is superbe cristal clear and extreemely vibrant!!!! Visually there are very (very) few surface marks\scuffs infact i can barely see two or three (no)scratches when held in very strong light(no) needle scratches audio sounding at least i couldn't see any even in extreeme light, at least (none) that effect the audio at all!!! To be highly i have played this track through a couple of times and i never heard any problems.The audio on this pressing in my opinion is as good as it gets for a very 1st pressing!!!!!Even in between tracks there is extreemely minimal noise!!! This almost plays as new!!!This is the best audio that i have heard of this pressing!!!!! I would class myself as highly critical and this is a truly exceptional sounding vinyl and the 1st by this awesome band ''black sabbath''!!!!!!!! Please note! That i always make this disclaimer! That although I never heard any clicks or pops during the play of this record please allow for the odd static tick here and there certainly not consistant throughout the audio, but this is a genuine 37 year old vinyl that would have been played on a 37 year old system!!!!!

The cover.

This is the original gatefold (non) laminated cover with black on the inside opening (only early 1st press later were white) which also has the lyric and track contents in the cross!!!! Please note!! the misspelling of ''Ossie Osbourne''!!! ''Osborne'' very rare (only early press) this cover is superbe very near pristine with only two light scuff marks on the inside of the gatefold and two minute holles from a staple can hardly be seen unless you look for them  this shows very (very) minimal storage ware hardly any to the corners and spine (see photo) superbe condition of this 1st pressing cover which is nearly 37 years old!!!!!!!! This also is one of the best covers that i have seen of this pressing truly awesome(see photo)

The record sleeve.

This is the original swirl polythene lined record sleeve patented and made in england. with (no) splits and amazingly (no) MAJOR staining with age!!!!!!and(no) splits or tares!!!!! can just be seen in photo (please note this is stored seperately from the vinyl!!!!!!(please look at the photos) I have taken photos of both sides of the original cover so that all aspects can be clearly seen!!!!!! absolutely superbe!!!!!

Please do not underestemate the rarety of this 1st pressing in this condition, they are rarely seen like this!!!!!!!
