This is a rare UK 1st press of ‘Master Of Reality' by Black Sabbath. This press has the earliest 6360050 1Y//1 - 2Y//1 matrix and the rare black spiral Vertigo label. It is complete with the original black Vertigo inner sleeve and laminated envelope sleeve.
The record is in Very Good condition. The vinyl is still jet black, with a bright gloss. There is no sign of whitening or heavy play to the grooves, there are however a number of light marks on both sides. The earliest black label is in Very Good condition. It is exceptionally bold and unworn. The white is superb, the text is sharp and there is just the slightest spindle wear.
When played the sound is rich, vibrant and complete with the original bold audio separation. There is some noise especially in the quieter moments but this rare 1st press can still be enjoyed from start to finish.
The black Vertigo inner sleeve has some light wear to the opening edge but is very solid and clean.
The laminated envelope sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The black is bold and the colours are vivid. The laminate has a sensational mirrorlike gloss. The edges have some light wear and there is a small laminate scuff on the back edge. The sleeve has the original 6360 050 catague number in the corner.
