Absolutely PHENOMENALLY RARE as a UK 1972 Spaceship!!! Without doubt, THE very rarest Sabbath LP out there - it is said that no more that 3-to-400 maximum exist with the //1 //1 matrices exist!!! The story goes that in 1972 when Vertigo were changing their legendary swirly labels to the new spaceship design, Sabbath had a major dispute with Vertigo. So major, that they left at virtually that exact time, taking ALL their album rights with them to the WWA label due to a contract clause. As a result, the pressing of this classic with the new label design was ordered to be halted within hours of it beginning, resulting in an absolute MINISCULE amount of these ever hitting Britain's streets!!! A second batch with //1 //2 matrices was also pressed and in slightly higher numbers a few thousand at the very most. The spaceship label is in fact rarer for this album than the Swirl one.

THIS IS SO RARE, MANY DON'T EVEN REALIZE IT EXISTS!!! To find one in this OUTRAGEOUS condition is utterly IMPOSSIBLE!!! 

Vinyl condition: EX to EX++.    Outrageously phenomenal condition. There are NO marks or hairlines. This has only had very minimal play. I listened to the whole album on a high end system and let me tell you this did not disappoint!! The dynamis are fantastic with a deep stereo separation that oozes a quality production. If you listen to this on a D or re-issue you will seriously miss out as this earliest vinyl just produces an extra dimension to the listening pleasure of this probably best Sabbath album. Probably the best vinyl I have ever come across for this album (and I have seen a good few over the years).

Box Sleeve: VG++ to EX.  This is the original box type sleeve "Printed and made by Howards Printers (Slough) Ltd.". It is fully laminated and has the embossed lettering to the front and the VO Price Code to the back. Basically a great sleeve and you will be hard pressed to find better than this. There is NO damage whatsoever. The edges are nice and straight and the spine is 100% legible. Tiny underlaminate creases near the spine and on the envelope flap bar me from giving this a full EX rating but it is thereabouts and the winner won't be disappointed.

This has the original polylined blue stamped inner sleeve for this issue.

THE STEREO REPRODUCTION IS SUPERB AND EVERY NOTE IS HEARD CLEARLY AND CRISPLY.  NO MARKS,  A COUPLE OF LIGHT HAIRLINES ONLY,  NONE DEEP, NEEDLESS TO SAY, NO STICKS OR JUMPS!

             This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next psych album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
