This is a very sound copy of the 1970 vinyl release of Paranoid by Black Sabbath
- Vertigo swirl labels
- Large swirl above spindle on Side B
- “Vertigo” wording underneath album and band name below the spindle. (1971 issue had the swirl below the hole, so this is genuine 1970 issue)
This is known as 2nd issue ; it does not mention ‘Big Bear’ management inside gatefold - the LP and labels and matrices are , however, identical. The sleeve wording was the only difference …

The condition of the sleeve is very nice. A few areas of rubbing but really good for its age
It has the original poly lined swirl inner 0870 date code , in excellent condition, bit of creasing only signs of age….
Labels are like new , very little wear markings - see pics
There are a lot of small lines all over the vinyl , nothing that stands out or deep scratches..scuffs and playing marks only.
It plays OK , there is background crackle throughout, which surfaces on the quieter moments like Planet Caravan , e.g. and I heard light ticks on Hand of Doom and towards the end of PC...still , overall, not a bad listen for its age, the heavy bits are very good , no jumps. (listen to the clip for an idea)
