Superb 1st Pressing of BLACK SABBATH PARANOID on the VERTIGO swirl label with superb AUDIO and ULTRA RARE "BIG BEAR" credit. This rare early pressing also has no gap between Hand of Doom and Rat Salad. All later pressings have the gap. A true collectors item.

Paranoid is the second studio album by Black Sabbath. Released in September 1970, the album was the only one by the band to top the UK Albums Chart, and as a result is commonly identified as the bands magnum opus. Paranoid has made four times platinum by the RIAA and contains some of the bands best-known signature songs, including the title track, "Iron Man" and "War Pigs".
THIS IS A COMPLETE GENUINE RARE UK ORIGINAL IN SUPERB CONDITION, that plays beautifully from start to finish AND IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO BUY A COMPLETE EXAMPLE OF ONE OF THE MOST HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE VINYL ALBUMS OF ALL TIME.
VINYL PLAYED FOR GRADING: TOP AUDIO sound quality throughout This is a great example of the ultra rare 1st pressing with strong, undistorted sound, and a minimum of any static or surface sound. Channels are clean and unstressed. The music jumps out, with definition and clarity, particularly on the percussion instruments, and vocals which come through with tremendous power. All the instruments and vocals are bright and clear. As with the bass and drums, whilst the guitars come through crisp and precise. Some light occasional static only. Wonderful TOP audio, there is NO distortion, NO sticks or jumps what so ever. Even the quiet Planet Caravan sings out with silence in the run ins and quiet areas. Great music with great clarity, and so hard to find with this type of sound. With the clear and extra loud First cut engineering giving the audio a vibrant sound which cannot be beaten.
A great all round example of this classic vinyl, grades at EXCELLENT PLUS to NEAR MINT. Vinyl Visual Grading A superb piece of glossy vinyl, and a really thick pressing. Deep clear grooves that can only be found on the original early pressings.

THE SLEEVE is the 1st pressing of Paranoid with the rare unlaminated cover, and has the following text:
Management / Jim Simpson, Big Bear, Birmingham.
Reputably only a few hundred of these were printed, as Jim Simpson, was unceremoniously removed as Sabbaths manager, and the cover was reprinted without the Big Bear credit.
This pressing comes with the original Gatefold, and this is a great example one of the best I've seen. Usually these sleeves are quite worn and it is extremely rare to find such a nice example. The cover shows only the lightest handling and shelf wear only, and is sharp and crisp all round.
THE INNER SLEEVE is the Original Poly lined Vertigo Swirl inner sleeve and is in EXCELLENT condition. Only very lightly creased there is NO writing and NO tears. There are NO splits.
Vinyl will be sent in a brand new Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab inner sleeve and will be well packed using only the highest quality oversize record mailing box with stiffeners that protects the record and sleeve corners, which can often be damaged.
