On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Black Sabbath called 'Volume 4' and is a 1972 Stereo UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE LP & VERY HARD TO FIND!!!!  HOWEVER THIS ONE IS VERY VERY SPECIAL INDEED - AS IT IS THE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING WITH MAJOR SLEEVE DIFFERENCES (AND A 1ST PRESS 1/1 MATRIX RECORD)!!!!   THIS LP IS MASSIVELY RARE IN EVERY RESPECT!!!!  I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN A COPY OF THIS LP WITH THIS MEGA RARE SLEEVE BEFORE!!!!  CLEARLY THIS IS ONE OF THE VERY EARLIEST 1ST PRESS SLEEVES (PERHAPS EVEN A PROOF OR TRIAL SLEEVE?) WITH MEGA RARE DIFFERENCES WHICH DO NOT FEATURE ON ANY LATER UK PRESSING!!!!   I COMPARED THIS SLEEVE TO A STANDARD 1ST PRESSED SLEEVE - AND FOUND MANY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES.  I WILL EXPLAIN.  LIKE ALL STANDARD LATER 1ST PRESS SLEEVES THIS SLEEVE IS PRINTED IN THE UK BY 'HOWARD PRINTERS (SLOUGH) LTD', AND IS A UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSED COVER.  THE FIRST DIFFERENCE TO NOTICE IS THAT THE SLEEVE ITSELF IS QUITE A LOT BIGGER THAN MOST LATER STANDARD 1ST PRESS SLEEVES, MADE OF A BETTER QUALITY OF CARD, AND IS SLIGHTLY THICKER.  IT IS AROUND 1/2 CM TALLER THAN NORMAL 1ST PRESS SLEEVES AND SLIGHTLY WIDER.  THE SECOND DIFFERENCE IS ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER - AND INSTEAD OF THE STANDARD 'VO PRICE CODE 6360 071' IT SAYS 'DE LUXE 6360 071' (SEE MY COMPARISON PICTURES)!!!!  CLEARLY THIS TEXT WAS WRONG ON THIS 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS SLEEVE AND MUST HAVE BEEN QUICKLY CORRECTED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  HOWEVER THE MOST IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES ARE ON THE INSIDE OF THE COVER (SEE MY COMPARISON PICTURES)!!!! THE FIRST THING TO NOTICE IS THAT THE 'TIMES' OF EACH TRACK APPEAR ON THIS 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS COVER (THIS IS OMITTED ON LATER COVERS).  BELOW THE TRACK LISTING THERE IS A SERIES OF CREDITS (ENDING IN 'LOS ANGELES' AND JUST BELOW THESE CREDITS THERE IS 1 LINE OF HIDDEN TEXT THAT HAS BEEN 'AIRBRUSHED' OUT AT MANUFACTURE!!!!  CLEARLY THIS TEXT (WHATEVER IT WAS) WASNT REQUIRED AND WAS DELETED!!!!  THIS 'AIRBRUSHED' TEXT DOES NOT APPEAR ON ANY LATER COVERS!!!!  NOT ONLY THIS BUT THE TEXT ON THE SPINE IS IN SLIGHTLY SMALLER TYPEFACE THAN STANDARD LATER PRESSED COVERS!!!!  IN ALL OTHER RESPECTS THIS COVER IS THE SAME AS ALL LATER STANDARD 1ST PRESSED COVERS (WITH BOOKLET, ETC) - BUT THIS COVER HAS A SERIES OF VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES WHICH MUST MAKE THIS LP EXTREMELY RARE INDEED!!!!  THE PREVIOUS OWNER OF THIS LP ALSO TOLD ME THAT HE WAS A BLACK SABBATH FANATIC AND ADVANCE ORDERED THIS LP PRIOR TO RELEASE.  HE BOUGHT IT ON THE MORNING OF ITS RELEASE DATE AND THIS PROBABLY ACCOUNTS FOR THE LUCK OF OBTAINING THIS EXTREMELY RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS WITH A 1ST PRESSED LP WITH AN 'EARLIEST' (AND DIFFERENT) 1ST PRESS COVER!!!!  THIS LP HAS TO BE MASSIVELY RARE WITH THIS 'DIFFERENT' EARLIEST 1ST PRESSED COVER (AND RECORD) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is an ORIGINAL Vertigo UK 'earliest' Stereo 1st pressing and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 6360 071 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Spiral Vertigo label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Black Sabbath at their best!!!! Any fan of Black Sabbath, or 60s/70s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in GREAT condition and is VERY shiny looking indeed!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, 2 tiny hairline type marks, 2 or 3 light hairlines,  3 or 4 wispy type scufflines, and only a few light paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with only a VERY few clicks/pops (barely ANY), NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! There is NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The record must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also has its ORIGINAL 1st Press Spiral inner sleeve!!!! The MEGA RARE 'Earliest' 1st Press Gatefold Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT though the colour), only a VERY few light creases (Cover is VERY flat looking) and NO writing!!!! There is a sticker removal mark in the top right hand corner of the cover (NOT through the colour). There is also some very VERY light rubbing in places - though it is MEGA light and this cover is MILES better than most!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! The Booklet is firmly in place and in STUNNING condition!!!!  Even the unlaminated inside is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO writing, NO yellowing and barely ANY rubbing AT ALL!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS VERY HARD TO FIND WITH THIS MEGA RARE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS COVER AND 1ST PRESS RECORD!!!!  SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
