Sacrifice was the first album released by the UK progressive rock group Black Widow. It's a pretty respected album among the genre fans but it's still not considered as one of the corner stones of 70's prog rock. The album has nothing to do with heavy metal unlike some people might think. The music is mostly instrumental progressive rock with lots of keyboards.

The highlights of the album include the fantastic opener "In Ancient Days", "Seduction" and the massive 11 minutes long album closer and title track "Sacrifice". The rest of the material is mostly good prog but nothing very special still. On the other hand none of these songs feels like a filler here and the album is quite consistent overall.
