Grading:  We use the standard VJM grading code for 78’s:

 

N = new or mint

E = low surface noise

V =  high surface noise but listenable

G = very high surface noise; difficult to listen properly

 

The addition of a plus (+) or minus (-) adds a degree of classification. We are conservative graders, and in our book there’s no such thing as “N”.  The best we will ever use is “N-“ even if we believe a record to be unplayed..

 

 

Calculate Your Shipping Cost:  Our zip code is 22043.  Standard weight of one 78 is about one half pound . (a little less if they are all post 1950 pressings). The standard weight of packing material used for 1-3 records is 2 lbs, and anything from 4-15 items is 3 lbs, consisting of a new heavy-duty cardboard box, several 10” squares of cardboard, overwrapped with bubble wrap, lined with cardboard inside the box walls and infilled with paper or polychips . We do not charge for packing materials, only postage. Using this information you can calculate the postage for your parcel by logging on to www.usps.com. We ship via Priority Mail in the USA and air parcel post elsewhere.
