This auction is for a Vocalion 78 Record, Blind Willie Johnson, "Dark Was The Night And Cold Was The Ground" & "It's Nobodys Fault But Mine"

We have set up a site so that you may listen to the record. Please note that we recorded the complete side, Dark was the Night And Cold Was The Ground which we partially recorded the other side due to the batteries in our camera going dead(we will record the complete side soon). The high and low sounds is due to our camera which we were trying to video the record as well as holding the camera in front of the speaker. We are still trying to learn how to attach the file to the auction. The vocals and guitar has a very good sound.

  This record has a crack on one side (please view photos) and believe it or not, it still plays and sounds good and was tested on an old Caliphone portable record player that has 4 speeds which you can flip the needle to play 78's. The record will play if the crack is aligned properly. There is a chip on the edge on the side, "Its Nobodys Fault But Mine" It does have surface scratches & is dirty which we have not attempted to clean. There record has a minor warp which we did not hear any difference such as dragging or slowing. The needle on this record player did not hang up, get caught up on the crack. With the minor chip on the edge you can hear the beginning of the song which you will have to nudge the arm just a tad and the record will play all the way through. We did not hear any skips, such as missing lyrics or melody other than on the chip. This record was recorded in 1927 and has the noise, pops, etc. that you would normally hear on these old 78 records. In spite of the flaws, hopefully someone can add this old record to their collection which we just couldn't throw it in the trash. We just recently purchased a collection of old 78's from a local yard sale and will be listing them over the next several months. There is a lot of glare from the lighting and camera which the colors are not true.

This will be shipped USPS Priority Mail  with confirmed delivery and insurance if it is needed USA ONLY. Overseas shipping will be USPS Priority International Priority Mail. This record will be packaged properly, which we have shipped in the past a rare 78 record to Japan and it arrived safely. Please check our feedback. Will combine ship when possible.

With ebay's new policy on shipping, insurance, etc., we will display shipping fees on the shipping labels that we pay through Paypal. You will receive tracking information via Paypal. We ship 99% percent of our items, using USPS Priority Mail, which allows us to keep the costs down, which the boxes are free, and allows us to track the packages. We do not like for the rare, HTF's, One-of- Kind, etc., to linger within the mail system or has an opportunity to become lost or damaged. Occasionally we will ship USPS Parcel Service. We purchase our own packaging materials, such as bubble, etc. In addition to this, we pay for the additional insurance at our cost. If you have a problem with the listed shipping fees, please notify us, we may have forgotten to change the shipping calculator. We never charge a handling fee.

We have been long time collectors and have purchased our items from yard sales,  flea markets, auctions, estate sales, antique malls and stores. Also, we go trash pimping (dumpster diving). Family, friends and strangers have given us stuff to avoid from placing their items out on the trash. The reason that we have included this information within our auctions, is that the items that we are selling may have slight odors, not being offensive, but a young person told us that "Antiques smell like Old People", well we are happy and old and No we don't smell, but some of these old things may have a slight smell with wear, tear and usage. They are not MINT nor PERFECT, which we do not like to use these terms. We are not experts but know how to look things up in a book, internet, etc. Well, we hope that you will understand. We will try to describe our items to the best of our ability.
