Well folks, this is a hard one to let go of...IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT - BLOSSOM TOES "AN ORIGINAL MARMALADE RECORDING" 1969 POLYDOR, STEREO 277011.

Produced by the legendary GIORGIO GOMELSKY, this very HARD TO FIND recording features the talents of:

JIM CREGAN: Lead and rhythm guitars
'BIG' BRIAN BELSHAW: Bass guitar
BARRY REEVES: Drums
'POL' PALMER: Drums on Peace Loving Man'
'LITTLE' BRIAN GODDING (my favourtie guitarist - ever! and outstanding singer/songwriter!): Lead and rhythm guitars, piano, organ. (http://www.lotsawatts.co.uk/)

The record plays VG on my very sensitive Linn Sondek/Rega RB300/Shelter 501, turntable/arm/cartridge playback setup, however, I would not recommend playing it with a moving coil cartridge. The recording does not distort, however the grooves demonstrate crackle on the quiet passages with my setup. The laminated flipback cover is also VG with some creases at the corners and yellowing at the edges, particularly on the back. Nonetheless, it still holds this highly sought after recording. IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT typically nets $300.-$400. for a MINT copy (if anyone has one PLEASE LET ME KNOW!)
