VERY RARE!
Amongst musicians, most players believe Knappertsbusch one of the very finest conductors, because more often than not he was able to achieve an utterly “fresh” sense of the music.
Fact is, Knappertsbusch disliked rehearsals. Instead, he relied on talking about the vision and the "feel" of the music with the orchestra. Perhaps he would have everyone turn to a particular passage, have it played, then discuss the facets. The end result, in traversing the score in this manner, had audiences and musicians alike feeling as if the music before them had just been played for the first time, ever.
This is the maestro’s Bruckner, played with his favored Vienna Phil. It is the original Blueback box edition, with some shelf, the corners intact, but a piece of the top seam missing, chipped off (about an inch; hardly noticeable).
Within, are the original ffss heavy platters in NM shape.
A music lover’s dream, not to be missed.

Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
