GRADE & DESCRIPTION (RECORD): V
(I grade conservatively using the VJM scale. Slash grades ("V/V+") indicates different grades for each side, and side-by-side grades ("VV+") indicates a record that is right on the line between the two grades. Please look carefully at the photos to assist in your own evaluation, but you can trust my grading.)
NOTES: "When The Sun Goes Down" features Scrapper Blackwell on guitar, and it is the exact same melody as Walter Vincent's "When The Breath Bid The Body Good-Bye," one of the best forms & melodies in the prewar blues, if you ask me. At any rate, this is a great record, one of the best in this week's batch, and it's a strong & solid player.
Check my other listings this week! I've got 27 country blues, classic blues, hokum and jug band records on offer, all for $10 starts.
PAYMENT REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION CLOSE (unless you have contacted me to make other arrangements). If you cannot pay or have no intention to pay for your winnings, please do not bid. It seems like such a simple concept, but here lately...
I am an experienced 78 record packer & shipper! Records will be sandwiched between cardboard and floated in an a 12" x 12" (or larger) oversized box stuffed with filler material. Haven't had a single record break, 100% positive record shipping both domestically and overseas. Check my feedback, this is the real deal.
SHIPPING PRICES for 78 RPM RECORDS:
USA: $7 for 1st 78 and .50 cents each additional. (Note that this BARELY covers postage, corrugate, peanuts, etc., and I'm actually taking a loss when you calculate that eBay charges sales tax on shipping AND THEN takes 10% of the combined shipping & sales tax as well, to say nothing of the bite that PayPal then takes of the total...)
WAIT FOR INVOICE after multiple wins for combined shipping discount!
INTERNATIONAL: $40 for 1st Record and $5 each additional. (Price went up Sep 2020, sorry guys, the old rate didn't even cover the postage anymore...) WAIT FOR INVOICE!
CANADA: $15 for 1st Record and $3 each additional. WAIT FOR INVOICE!
PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE BEFORE BIDDING.
