Description

Totally original 1968 UK copy vinyl of the classic album. Discogs ref r32610411, identifiable by the upside down BIEM & NCB codes on side 1 label. The original release was 1966; this is the 1968 press but still in mono, with Decca catalogue ref LK 4084. I've owned this since the late 70s and it's always been stored safely on record shelves. It's hefty 1960s vinyl, reassuringly weighty to handle. Listen to the video clip to hear 1965 Eric Clapton catapulting lead guitar forward by ten years.

Sleeve condition: VG+

  • No separations, splits or writing.
  • Super vivid front cover is clean and intact.
  • Rear matte cover is clean and clear, apart from slight 2cm blemish to upper rear surface - see photo - where a label perhaps was stuck.
  • Spine fully readable.
  • Minimal buffing to corners.

Vinyl condition: VG
  • I've given both sides a basic clean with anti-static vinyl cleaner and lint free vinyl cloths, prior to play testing:
  • Side 1 Three small blemishes with no discernible effect. Normal light surface marks and swirls causing slight crackling in run-in and some v.light ticks or v.light crackling in some gaps between tracks.
  • Side 2 Bit of ticking at track 1 lead-in, quickly disappearing behind the music. Similar faint crackling in the gaps btw other tracks. A short groove-following scratch during Track 1 but I can't hear any effect. Minor skip during harp solo on track 2, noticeable as a click and a skipped beat but track carries on as normal. Couple of similar tiny blemishes as side 1 but no effect on playing. Otherwise light surface swirls and scuffs causing minor background noise.
  • The disc itself will be supplied in a new SpinCare polyvinyl inner sleeve. I don't think the paper sleeve visible in the photos is original but I'll include it just in case you want it.
