A very early near MINT UK Freewheelin album - orange textured labels and early type face.
Signed "BEST WISHES Bob DYLAN 1964" - this LP was sold to a collector in 1992 by the reputable OVEN READY RECORDS for £176.45 pence !!!!!!!!!
OK, let's all take a deep breath, This record was bought by a collector who was assured of its authenticity by the sellers- OVEN READY RECORDS, a well - known UK dealer. Inside is a handwritten account of how it became to be signed in the USA at Columbia Studios by Bob Dylan who was working on his fourth album. (it fits with 1964)
This is now being re-sold on behalf of his parents following his death last year.

The text of the letter- as written and set out.: Dear Sir The freewheelin Bob dylan album was purchased in Nov 1963 by the mother of the lady I inherited it from & she went over to the United States & gave it to her daughter as a Birthday present, Her daughter took it to school & one of her friends said her father worked for Columbia records & Bob Dylan was due in to do with his next album due that month & she got her father to get Bob Dylan to sign it. J Fidler (or it could be J Fricker or Ficker)I am using a low start price simply because I have no idea of the value or of the whole story behind the signature, though it reads convincingly to me.
