Description
This is an overall fine copy from probably a 1965 stereo U.S. reissue (based on the labels) of the second LP by Bob Dylan, originally released in 1963. On his sophomore effort, Dylan emerges as a masterful songwriter: he wrote (or in one case co-wrote) all but one of the record's songs. Two songs, "Blowin' in the Wind" and "A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall," became staples of the Civil Rights movement, and "Girl from the North Country" and "Oxford Town" were frequently covered by other artists. The jacket has two main flaws, both on the back cover slick: staining along the edge and top seam, and a former owner’s name written in pen along the edge (see photos). The front cover is close to pristine. Overall EX-. Visually, the disc has some mostly light dinging, scraping, and scuffing, but nice glossiness. It plays with some light surface noise and a few light pops, though in part of the last track on side 2, Dylan's vocal gets a bit muddied with static -- perhaps the result of a pressing flaw? Overall VG+. The same former owner’s name is written in pen on both disc labels.
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
