VERY NICE copy of this legendary LP.  TTT was the second underground LP to arrive in US head shops and underground record shops in the fall of 1970 several months after the Great White Wonder first appeared.  I bought this copy at Oat Willies head shop in Austin, Texas in 1970.  It has plain white labels with no information printed on them.  Rather than more traditional matrix numbers in the runoff, this copy has "Side 1" and "Side 2" and that's all.

This is the first pressing that came BEFORE Trade Mark of Quality (TMQ) re-released it featuring a TMOQ catalog number.  (That was the risk that you ran if you were pressing up an underground album in 1970.  Soon it would be reissued on another unofficial label and another and another, etc.  But back in the 1969-1971 period, there was a sense of "community" feel to it all.  The bootlegger was ripping off the Man, not the artists.  People who bought underground albums almost always had a large collection of the artist anyway.  I had a buddy in school who told me in 1971, "My bootlegger is right up there with my dealer when it comes to providing a service to me and the community.  And I, for one, appreciate the hell out of it".  So when ya buy one of these early underground LP first pressings, just know that it went through a lot to eventually get to you.  And, when this LP came out, no one had heard these tracks.   One more thing, when someone got a new album like this one, many times a party would ensue so that everyone could enjoy it.  Just sayin'.

This is the only copy of the pre-TMOQ release of this LP currently on eBay.  Even a classy web site like bobsboots only alludes to the existence of THIS pressing:  "It is one of the earliest releases for TMQ.  It possibly even came out in 1970, in a blank white cover with blank labels following the Great White Wonder." Note: It's unusual in record collecting today, that with the Internet and information technology available, there are still mystical legendary LPs out there.  This is one. 

Own a true piece of not only pop history but of social history as well.  Kinda like the pieces of the true cross?  Juuuuust kidding although I bet Dylan would like it.  Haw. Haw.

Stored vertically in a smoke free environment for 48 years.
