Label:   PRESTIGE.  Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl.  Label is yellow with silver text, Bergenfield, N.J. address, does not have deep groove.  “VAN GELDER” is stamped in runout area.  Catalog number is PR 7318.   

Year:  27 Feb 1964 session date. 

Personnel:   Booker Ervin – tenor sax;  Tommy Flanagan - piano;  Richard Davis – bass;  Alan Dawson – drums.

Note:  This album comes from an extremely well cared-for jazz collection where the original owner cherished his albums, played them once or twice at most, and stored them under optimal conditions.  This is a fantastic opportunity for the collector who insists on top condition.

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, as clean as can be found.  The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster, perhaps played once if at all.  There is a small cosmetic flaw (bubble in vinyl at outside edge in the lead-in area, not anywhere near the sound grooves.  Strictly cosmetic - Does not affect playing in any way.)  Plays flawlessly with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean and pristine.     

JACKET:   Jacket is beautiful NM- with bright, clean panels both front and reverse.  Top left corner has a minor bump.  Seams and spine are excellent, except for a small split at top center that has been neatly repaired.   No writing, stickers, or cutout indications.   Overall a beautiful item you will never need to upgrade!
