Description
Springsteen's first release after his years long lawsuit with Mike Appell, "Darkness on the Edge of Town" found Springsteen stepping away for the wall of sound that was "Born to Run". This is as raw as Springsteen ever got, and what an awesome album, and subsequent concert, it was. Alive again after all the drama of court proceedings, Springsteen had spent all that time recording demos for this album, and writing songs he would give away to other artists (the best of which was South Side Johnny, recorded and mentored by Little Stevie, along with The Pointer Sisters hit "Fire", and the great Pink Cadillac). The vinyl on this copy is G1F/G2H, and the vinyl is in really super shape, with only a couple of very light marks. Excellent indeed, and is wrapped in the original picture sleeve and also includes the original lyric sheet. The cover is near excellent, VG+, with a small corner bend, a small bend at the opening bottom where it looks like it was bumped, otherwise, barely any noticeable ring wear, its nice and shiny with almost no shelf wear, good edges, and a very legible spine.
