Description
This is the 1958 6-EYE LABEL STEREO 7 LP DELUXE BOX SET WITH FABRIC BOOK STYLE COVER containing the all-time classic performances of Beethoven's Nine Symphonies - PLUS AN EIGHTH 6-EYE LP CONTAINING REHEARSALS FROM THESE RECORDINGS - from The Columbia Symphony Orchestra, Bruno Walter conducting. The package also contains the 12" x 12" 48-page book titled 'A Beethoven Reader'. It is Columbia Records U.S. catalog number D7S 610. Records come packaged inside the box in their original soft clear poly inner liners, inside the manila pages that are bound inside the book / box.
Condition of six of the seven records containing the Nine Symphonies is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks. Condition of the seventh record containing the Nine Symphonies is EX with just a couple of very light surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of the rehearsal record is VG+ with a very few light surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of the outer book / box is EX with just a tiny bit of light wear on the padded cloth outer covering and a little wear and a little bit of soiling on the vinyl binding. Inner components of the box are in nice shape with a little bit of contact wear. None of the components of the book / box have any water damage, splits, tears, tape, writing, or stickers or any other flaws. Condition of the thin cardboard cover of the rehearsal LP is VG+ with some ring and contact wear and some wear along the edges and on the corners. Condition of the 'Beethoven Reader' book is VG+ with some slight wrinkles and some wear along the edges of the thin cardboard cover that appears to be caused by the pesty paper eating silverfish we have here in Florida; the inner pages of the book are otherwise in nice condition.
