ITEM: Holy Grail LP highly sought after but rarely found on any auction site: " Brutes and Savages " , soundtrack composed, arranged, and conducted by Riz Ortolani. Released on Interfusion Records label, Australia, catalog number L-36840.
COMMENTS / CONDITION: This LP came from a private collection - it is not a beat up item bought at a yard sale. The record was visually graded, and was test played.
Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.
Vinyl is in VG+ condition, retaining a nice glossy luster. No warps, deep scratches, cracks, or chips. A close inspection shows a few scuffs which are mostly cosmetic.
On my older system, both sides played quietly, with crisp, clear sound quality. A few occasional soft tics could be heard, that did not affect the listening enjoyment of the performances. There was no harsh background noise, skips, or groove lock. NOTE: Sound quality will vary from system to system. The above comments are included strictly as reference, and are not a statement as to the experience you may have with your equipment.
Labels are in very good, clean condition with no peeling edges, or writing. The center hole is perfectly round and shows no signs of abusive playing.
The cover is in VG+ condition, with bright colors and graphics. Minor ring/rub wear and scuffs can be seen. The seams have light shelf wear and there is a 3 inch split in the center of the bottom seam. This is not a cut-out, no punch holes, notches, or clipped corners.
Inner sleeve is plain white paper.
I have not tried to clean the vinyl or the labels. Serious collectors usually have their own preferred methods they use to care for their records.
