BUDDY HOLLY No.2 UK Brunswick EP VERY CLEAN EXAMPLE Rock and Roll
Buddy Holly No.2.
Scarce UK Brunswick Records 7" EP housed in picture sleeve, OE 9457.
Circa early 1960s round centre repressing with red and silver labels, but early 1C/1C matrix suffixes.
A really well preserved issue. This was found slipped in an original Holly LP I bought, and had probably been there a while, protected from being knocked about.
Vinyl EX plus. Barely any evidence of marks around the spindle areas, and vinyl surfaces are glossy and free of marks, save for a couple of tiny and superficial hairline scuffs only visible at close inspection with a magnifying glass.
Playback is superb throughout. Bright and clean and free of crackle, ticks or clicks, Even the run-ins are impressively quiet.
Labels are bright and undefaced with no rubbing.
Sleeve is also very well preserved and a strong EX. The colouration to front panel is strong and vibrant. Note that there are some natural dots of air pockets to the laminate visible in the photo. These have caught the light somewhat and in reality can only be seen if the sleeve is rotated somewhat. Under normal circumstances these very minor blemishes all lay perfectly flat and are not visible at all.
Rear of sleeve is similarly clean and bright with just a miniscule red pen cross to top right and a period store sticker to same area. Edges are crisp and unworn, including entry side, There is just a touch of ringwear impression to centre areas, although this is minimal and unobtrusive, and just a tad of a crease to top right corner.
All in all a really nicely preserved issue which will be tough to upgrade.
