MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Unbreakable High Fidelity MONO Coral Records very first press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1962 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon, S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from Coral Records, Inc. U.S.A., catalog number CIM 20530, with machine etched matrix numbers VD112352 S1 (“S” inverted) in Side A and VD112353 S1 (“S” inverted) in Side B, with green/silver Coral Records labels and push-out center!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! Amazing rarity for all lovers, fans and collectors of Buddy Holly and early days of rock’n’roll!!!

“Reminiscng” was originally released in USA in August 1962, in September in UK and late the same year we could see this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and play time of each song, with additional information about licenses and the original price printed in Side A, even though in this copy it’s factory deleted. And interesting fact to notice is that in labels it’s clearly informed the licenses come from Coral Records USA, but Chilean Coral labels are taken from Coral Records UK, as you can see and compare with original UK issue in this link: https://www.discogs.com/es/Buddy-Holly-Reminiscing/release/493768. The year of pressing in Chile could also be a matter of doubt, but it’s clear it was released in 1962, with the original price of “E° 1,50”, but in this copy the price is deleted, it could mean the prices changed late 1962 and/or early 1963, so they had to reprice the record and/or delete the original prices printed. So, here you have the chance to get and own this classic early rock’n’roll single by Buddy Holly released in Chile in 1962 and almost never seen, with UNIQUE GREEN CORAL RECORDS LABELS and Spanish-written song titles!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover, but in the case that you don’t know, in Chile all Coral records, singles or EP’s, had Coral paper sleeves. The record is in very nice VG+ or even EX- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only some soft scuffs and light hairlines, which don’t affect play at all, with the push-out center intact. Labels are in great VG+ or EX- condition the Side A, clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear and the white mark and paper used to delete the original price printed there, and in EX+ or even NM- condition the Side B, with only some light wear and a faint blemish in the spindle hole wear. The sound is in strong NM- or even NM condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only minimal soft crackles in the last seconds of the song, and in EX- or EX condition the Side B, with light occasional crackles here and there, which of course don’t cause any distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, sure it’s a record in still a great condition, with almost immaculate labels and with still a superb sound quality after about 55 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And don’t forget this is an UNIQUE RELEASE with GREEN CORAL RECORDS LABELS and with Spanish-written song titles, a record almost never seen and now available in eBay in great condition!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
