I DO NOT POST OUTSIDE THE UK.
This is a job lot sale from my collection of records relating to the day the music died 3rd February 1959 as narrated in the Don McClean song American Pie. The records are 3 LP's and 3 Singles by BUDDY HOLLY/RITCHIE VALENS/BIG BOPPER and a copy of the AMERICAN PIE Single by DON McCLEAN. The full details of the discs are as follows:-
3 x LP's
1. BUDDY HOLLY AND THE CRICKETS - THE "CHIRPING" CRICKETS - ALBUM - MCA CORAL RAINBOW SERIES - CDLM 8035 and is a MONO recording. This is a 1970's re-issue of this classic album first released in 1958.
SONGS
SIDE 1. OH BOY!; NOT FADE AWAY; YOU'VE GOT LOVE; MAYBE BABY; IT's TO LATE; TELL ME HOW.
SIDE 2. THAT'LL BE THE DAY; I'M LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO LOVE; AN EMPTY CUP(AND A BROCKEN DATE); SEND ME SOME LOVIN; LAST NIGHT; ROCK ME MY BABY.
CONDITION
The cover of this record is considered to be good condition. The inner sleeve is also good. The record is considered to be in good condition. There is a minor scratch on track 1 side 2 with a little clicking towards end of track but it plays through ok.

2. RITCHIE VALENS - ALBUM - GREATEST HITS - RCA - PL 90058. This album is dated 1987 and is a re-issue of an earlier greatest hits album. It is a MONO recording.
SONGS
SIDE 1. LA BAMBA; BLUEBIRDS OVER THE MOUNTAIN; IN A TURKISH TOWN; OOH! MY HEAD; PADDIWACK SONG; STAY BESIDE ME; MALAGUENA.
SIDE 2. COME ON, LET'S GO; DONNA; FAST FREIGHT; WE BELONG TOGETHER; THAT'S MY LITTLE SUZIE; HURRY UP; LITTLE GIRL.
CONDITION
The cover of this LP is considered good but there is a little creasing front left side and a little staining on rear the cover. The inner sleeve is also good. The record plays through well but there is a slight mark on track 3 of side 2 with a little surface noise. Overall rating good.

3. BIG BOPPER - ALBUM - CHANTILLY LACE - CONTOUR - 6870531. This record was a 1971 re-issue of an album of the same name released in 1958. The record is in electronically enhanced STEREO.

SIDE 1. CHANTILLY LACE; PINK PETICCOATS; LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD; SOMEONE WATCHING OVER YOU; BIG BOPPER'S WEDDING.
SIDE 2. OLD MAID; IT'S THE TRUTH RUTH; PREACHER AND THE BEAR; THE CLOCK; WHITE LIGHTNING.
CONDITION
This record I have owned from new. The cover front and back, the inner sleeve and the record are in good condition. It plays very well.

4 x SINGLES
1. BUDDY HOLLY - IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYMORE/RAINING IN MY HEART - CORAL 45-Q. 72360 from 1959.
This record has the distinction of being the 1st posthumous UK number 1 single in April 1959.
CONDITION - This record has a 50's tri middle and is in good+ condition with very little marking. It plays well. The case is a good cardboard replacement.

2. RITCHIE VALENS - DONNA/LA BAMBA - LONDON - LONDON 45-HL. 7068(rarer export serial number) from 1959.
CONDITION - This record has an adaptor middle. There are some marks on both sides of the disc with some surface noise on the Donna side. Both sides play through well. I would consider the record to be good- overall. The case is a good cardboard replacement.

3. BIG BOPPER - CHANTILLY LACE/PURPLE PEOPLE EATER MEETS WITCHDOCTOR - MERCURY 45-AMT 1002 from 1958.
CONDITION - This record also has some light marking each side but plays well. The case is a good handmade replacement.

4. DON McCLEAN - AMERICAN PIE PARTS 1 & 2 - UNITED ARTISTS UP 35325 from 1971.
CONDITION - This record is in good+ condition both sides and plays well. The case is ok but a little age worn.

The condition that I quote for each record is based upon close inspection and the physical playing of each disc. I try to be fair in what I quote but different people can have differing opinions.
