Looks Unplayed Near Mint Stunning Top Audio Quality!

Never Need To Upgrade An Audio Archive Copy!

Another from my personal collection. Purchased from new in 1982 and I originally only ever played this album to record to tape and then it was stored in a case with the vinyl separated from the sleeve and cover for protection. This is how I have always stored my records. The vinyl and audio plays as good as it gets in my opinion. Near mint throughout almost cd quality on my systems very rare to find with these 80s pressings believe me.  Don't take my word for it , listen to the complete album recorded from the vinyl in the player below. The cover and sleeve are also in incredible condition throughout! This 32 year old copy will be hard to find better in my opinion. Highly collectable and sought after like this!

Hear the complete album for yourself in the player below. (Actual recording from the vinyl)

Deliver Us From Evil is Budgie's tenth album, released in October 1982 on RCA Records, and according to Burke Shelley its theme "attacks the power structures of East and West and the balance of terror", in addition it also "refers to all kinds of evil, not just The Bomb and war, but the main theme calls for world peace".

According to Steve Williams, "the concept of the album came about as an accident. We didn't write 'Bored With Russia'. Don (Smith) brought that over from America and that started the ball rolling. We played it a few times and it started the whole concept". The song was written by noted producer Beau Hill, erroneously credited as Bo Hill, and demoed up with his late 70's outfit Airborne. It was finally issued on the band's 2003 archives release The Dig.

Reception of the album was mixed, due to a more commercially-oriented sound than previous releases. It has been described as either "a complete musical shipwreck" or "a collection which not only sounds fantastic but bristles with great songs and exquisite often Who-like arrangements". Their commercial appeal has been justified as a "conscious effort to broaden their horizons" in order to attend "a market more attuned to melody than mere muscle". The album release was followed with an UK tour from late October to December 1982.

Budgie is a Welsh hard rock/heavy metal band from Cardiff.

They are described as one of the earliest heavy metal bands and a seminal influence to many acts of that scene, with fast, heavy rock (an influence on the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and acts such as Metallica) being played as early as 1971. The band has been noted as "among the heaviest metal of its day". Notable Budgie songs include "Breadfan", "I Can't See My Feelings", "Crash Course In Brain Surgery", "Parents", "I Turned To Stone" and "Napoleon Bona - Parts 1 & 2"

Budgie formed in 1967 in Cardiff, Wales under the name Hills Contemporary Grass. Their original line-up consisted of Burke Shelley on vocals and bass, Tony Bourge on guitar and vocals, and Ray Phillips on drums.

After performing several gigs in 1968, the band changed their name to Budgie the following year and recorded their first demo. The band originally formed under such names as Hills Contemporary Grass and Six Ton Budgie.

The vinyl

On visual inspection this vinyl looks absolutely superb almost like new! I can't see a blemish at all on the playing surface! Any marks that could possibly be seen would be sleeve removal only, Importantly there are no marks that caused any clicks or pops throughout the audio that I heard.

The Audio Quality

I have played this through track for track as usual at very loud volume on a top system prior to this listing. The audio is rated near as mint throughout in my opinion! One of the best sounding copies that I have heard this will blow you away! This is crystal clear and vibrant through out. This plays with (no) signs of any distortion or that this has been overplayed at all in my opinion!
I would class myself as highly critical! Please look at my completed listings of records that i have sold of this caliber and you will see that I normally get it right! Audio is graded at the top! You will find the audio quality on this vinyl hard to surpass on all frequencies! Audio Near Mint throughout! Listen to the complete album in the player above.

Please note! I always make this disclaimer! Please allow for the odd very light static crackle (not) consistant throughout the audio! Although I never heard any problems at all and have given my honest opinion, this is a genuine 33 year old vinyl (not a reissue) that would have originally been played on a 33 year old system! points to note! This has been stored in a case laying dormant for the best part of 30 years! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves over the years causes static crackle and ticks! From my personal experiance a constant clean before each play reduces this problem! and subsequently enhances the audio quality!

The Labels

This features the original black RCA labels in superb condition feature RCA rim text.  Looks and sounds barely ever played! (no) marks or nasty writing. Amazingly I find it hard to see any spidering at all even when angled to the light indicates this has hardly ever been played and certainly not been overplayed at all  very rare for a 1st pressing) ''made in gt Britain'' text is featured (this is a 1st UK pressing)

The record sleeve

This is plain white  paper sleeve no splits or tares light fading with age only.

The cover

This is the original un- laminated flimsy ''MADE IN GT. BRITAIN'' RCA Ltd Record Division, Bedford, England. cover. No splits or tares . Lovely and clean and straight in general any storage wear indents or rubbing is minimal only. (to note a slight indent from a sticker removal on the front)  and you would have to look for the imperfections.  minor creases/lines only noticed if looked for at the spine ends.  (see photos) I would grade at least excellent in my opinion!
