Description
Here's a very nice copy of Squawk, the second album by the criminally underrated British hard rock band Budgie. If you've never heard Budgie before (Metallica covers don't count) go spend your money on CDs of Squawk, Never Turn Your Back on a Friend, and Bandolier, listen to them thrice each, and then thank me before you proceed to get their other stuff.
I'd rate the beuatiful Roger Dean cover to be in EX condition: There's some light wear around the edges, some light ring wear near the top of the front, and that's about it. (These defects should be visible in the photos.) The back is extremely clean (just some faint ring wear) and has a neat, small red "Sample Copy" label in the bottom corner. The record itself has very light wear that is visible in the light and faint scratches in the run-off groove (also visible in the photos) but is still lustrous. The label is near perfect. I'd rate the record a visual EX as well, although I've never dared play it to know for sure that what little wear exists is inaudible. The kraft paper inner sleeve is very clean but was folded at some point whilst placing the record back into the outer sleeve.
And I special treat: After rescuing it from a record shop and taking it home I slid out the record and was pleased to discover the included 8" x 10" glossy of Burke, Tony, and Ray. Perhaps the photo was sent along with the sample album, or perhaps a Budgie collector tucked it in their for safe-keeping. Regardless, it's also in EX condition.
