Description
HERE IS another product from the cheapest record company ever to stay in business, GREY GULL RECORDS of Boston, Mass. If you recall, they did EVERYTHING to lower their overhead, including using different titles for the same tune, and a blizzard of pseudonyms to blur the fact that practically their entire output was performed by the same fifteen or so musicians.
In this case, we have PAUL'S NOVELTY ORCHESTRA doing the "hit" side, "BYE BYE BLUES" - actually one of the most effective three-note melodies ever composed - and THE UNIVERSITY SYNCOPATORS doing the "B" side, some tune you've NEVER heard of called "ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS."
Both sides feature the "Usual Suspects," MIKE MOSIELLO (trumpet), ANDY SANELLA (alto sax and steel guitar); and their fellow merry studio riff-raff.
This original 1930 Dark-Chocolate Wax Madison 5092 is in nice E- condition.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.” I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
