Description
I generally don’t go near records below EX, but this is an exception. An original “ first published 1962 “ on labels . ZT tax code. Mothers 1 both sides , stampers T and H . Side one label is fine, Side two has writing on it, it appears someone tried to get the writing off. Original sleeve is actually in great condition, no seam splits, tears etc. VG plus. Record I just played ,and was amazed it played through with no skips, pops ,and very little distortion . Difficult to grade , as there are many surface marks ( nothing you can feel ) ,and writing on the label , I think VG should be accurate . The prices on this record are all over the place . I’ll ship free in the USA , $8.00 other countries . Remember this is NOT NM,EX of VG+ , it’s VG , more so because of writing on label ,and marks on the vinyl. It plays well . Apparently EMI was conservative in respect to how many dB they would press a record in those days , it’s not loud like the Beatles later four track pressings . Even the Please ,Please Me Album has a lot of gain, not so on this first pressing single .
