READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles 1965 LP Something New Stereo Second Pressing Scranton, Gorgeous!

Second pressings look just like first pressings with one tiny exception.  The songwriting credit for “Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand” has been corrected from “Nicholas,” a first name, to “Nicolas,” a surname.

Vinyl--- EX/EX.  Playing surface looks 90% brand new with the exceptions of some manufacturer’s cloudiness on each side, and maybe one errant angel hair scratch too camera-shy to photograph.  Nice-looking disc!

Plates--- A3/A3.  This copy, even though technically a second pressing, was still cut from the first-run A-plates.  A very early second pressing for sure.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- VG+.  Light to moderate wear on both sides, but the biggest issue is that the bottom right corner has a 1-inch split.

Labels--- EX/EX.  One or two stray, very light spindle marks per side.  Otherwise, these labels look 1965-new and clean.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- EX.  Original olive green Capitol inner sleeve is present.  Presents beautifully, full bold colors.  Sharp text.  One edge near the bottom has frayed about one inch’s worth.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 2

(NOTE:) Be sure to have a look at my new book on flash drive, “Demystifying The Beatles,” on sale now!  Endorsed by Perry Cox, this flash drive contains the most extensive database created so far, of American Beatles album labels, many of whom I guarantee the most seasoned collectors have never seen!)

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
