Description
Up for bidding is a Beatles 2nd State 'Yesterday and Today' "Butcher Cover" ST2553 Mono LP.
I have made no attempt to peel this album, but it is certainly the "Butcher Cover". On the top right side, the original issue number is partially visible under the edge of the paste-over (photo #5), and I have artificially darkened the last photo to show that Ringo's jacket is quite visible (photo #9) beneath the "Trunk Cover". This album was originally purchased in July of 1966, and the cover is marked RIAA 6.
CONDITION
Cover- All seams are tight, minor edge wear, some age yellowing, a few small spots, and a pinhole in the topmost left corner. Also, the date of purchase is penciled on the back top left corner (photo#8). All said, the cover remains in good condition, and has been stored covered for the past few decades.
Inner sleeve- Very good, with only a slight (approx. 1") slit at the top of one of the side seams.
Album- This album has been well played, and has some minor scratches and scuffing, but no nicks or major scratches.
