Beatles-Rel. 45 1971 Happy Xmas John Lennon Dark Green and Brown Swirl, VG+!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

Last week, a very lucky buyer was able to purchase one of just two scarce label variations of the dark green and black Happy Xmas 45 with the faces label.  This week, another will be lucky enough to own the other.  This copy has the Apple graphics.

And it’s in better condition than last week’s!

Vinyl: VG+/VG+.  Both sides still retain 85% brand new gloss.  But each side has less than a handful of light scuffs that are non-feelable.

Plates: Z7/Z7.  Both sides have the machine-stamp, “Bell Sound” as well as the hand-etched “sf” initials of Sam Feldman.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Labels: EX/EX.  One or two flecks of paper on each side from the manufacturing process.  Otherwise, these labels look bright green and 1971-brand new.

Sleeve: EX.  Original Apple sleeve is crisp and flat.  Full gloss, NO SPLIT SEAMS.

**Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.**

It’s rare enough to find the transparent black and green or brown and green swirled copies of this 45.  But it’s unheard of to find copies that are so dark that they’re almost not see-through at all.  Have this one under the tree on Christmas morning for your Beatles collector.  They will never forget when and where they got it.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
