Description

Beatles 45 A Hard Day’s Night Apple with “Mfd. By Apple” on BOTH Sides, NO “All Rights” Disclaimer SCARCE!

(This week’s auctions will place a heavy emphasis on scarce US label variations.  If you are a labels collector, be sure to have a look at all of them.  There are some seldom-seen records for sale this week.)

Not sure when these singles were issued.  But as they were only pressed by the Los Angeles pressing plant, and because the labels are bright yellowish-green, I’m assuming that these labels were manufactured in anticipation of adding the “All Rights Reserved” text in late 1975.  If that’s the case, then it places the printing of these labels earlier in 1975 only.  Prior to that, these singles had no “Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” disclaimer on the Side 2 label, which we know was in print from 1971 to 1974.

That means that this run is even more limited than the Black Star labels.  And finding any of these titles is testament to their scarcity.  If you don’t win this one, start looking for them.  I’ve been able to verify most of the titles in the catalogue, as well as a handful of solo titles.  And I can tell you, they don’t turn up often enough to collect!

Sleeve: Apple company sleeve is present, and in very good condition.  It does show some wear to each side.  NO SEAM SPLITS.

Vinyl: Beautiful VG+.  Most will grade this one VG++, as it looks nearly new under normal room lighting.  But shine it under a bare bulb, and some very fine hairlines do appear.  Still some beautiful plastic, though.

A generic white sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage the company Apple sleeve during shipment to you.

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!

Shipping is $4.00 for Media Mail for up to 3 single or double albums, excluding boxed sets within the U.S.  $4.00 covers shipping for up to 5 singles within the U.S.

Winners in all other countries will be charged actual shipping to their locations, so please wait to be invoiced.  You will be quoted for the cheapest shipping to your country that the US post office can afford me.  Please let me know if you would prefer to pay for a faster means of shipping, but do NOT ask me to declare packages as gifts, or any other means of defrauding the postal services.  Much appreciated.

I ship on Mondays and Thursdays.  This means that immediate payments will be shipped out the following morning, and later payments must wait until the first available Monday or Thursday after payment is received.  Please pay within 7 days of the auction ending.  I do leave negative feedback for non-payers.

Money back guarantee if you're not happy with your purchase.
