UK 2nd PRESS *STEREO* LP
**RARE 'OUTLINED' LOGO COVER**
This rare UK 2nd STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3058
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Housed in an extremely rare front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the outlined 'stereo' front logo.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper numbers: 3/OL & 2/MA
Disc weight: 138g
Labels: 1. MINT 2. NEAR MINT
A superb set with just a few very faint spindle marks to label 2. Label 1 is spotless and has none at all.
Visual: 1. NEAR MINT 2. EXCELLENT PLUS
Am impressive set of clean, bright & glossy surfaces which display just a single, faint 3cm fingernail line on side 2 and a few insignificant inner-sleeve removal marks but no other wear at all.
Close and careful inspection of both sides directly under a halogen desk reveals no other marks or any scratches to either surface.
Both sides 100% flat on the turntable with no signs or dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This copy has clearly been barely played and every track sparkles and is without any no trace of groovewear or background noise anywhere.
Even the easily and usually worn innermost tracks play cleanly and clearly with no breakup or playwear.
All bands play silently and without intereference.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
This rare example retains an undamaged high-gloss front laminate which displays just a few light spine wrinkles but no further significant signs of wear.
There is some minor bruising to the corners but no major bumps or splits. Apart from a tiny 3mm 'nick' to the front opening edge, both are clean and sharp.
The rear panel is largely clean and white with just a touch of toning towards the mouth but no writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, both seams and the spine are fully intact and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Light storagewear but no tears or splits.
