THE BEATLES - 'ABBEY ROAD'
1969 UK *1st PRESSING* LP
This outstanding 1969 UK 1st pressing is on the dark green Apple label: PCS 7088
The side 2 label omits the 'Her Majesty' title.
Housed in a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with the Apple logo misaligned beneath the side 1 tracklisting on the rear panel.
Complete with its original plain white 'Patent No. 1,125,555' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 749-2 & YEX 750-1

An immaculate pair with just two or three faint spindle marks to each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
This pristine copy has been out of its cover only a few times in the past 40 years and both surfaces are are 'as new' and totally unmarked in strong daylight. Close & careful inspection beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a sparkling rainbow, deep-gloss shine and a few insignificant inner-sleeve removal marks/hairlines. Both side of this beautiful copy lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT +
It is clear that this copy has recieved only a few extremely careful plays on top quality equipment. The sound throughout is clean, warm and clear with no traces of any groove/play wear to any track. My careful playcheck at volume picked up only a touch of light background on the quiet piano introduction to 'You Never Give Me Your Money' but apart from that, there is nothing else to fault at all.

NEAR MINT
A beautiful and practically 'as new' example looks as if it had left the shops this morning. The high-gloss is unscratched and unworn all-round with the only thing keeping it from straight 'MINT' is a single tiny 'thumbnail' wrinkle behind John's back. All corners are perfectly sharp and unbumped and both opening edges appear untouched. The rear panel is perfect with no wear to any area. Both seams are smooth and unstressed and the spine is clean & straight and without a single bend or wrinkle along its length. You won't find a better example.

EXCELLENT
Clean & intact with just a single storagewear crease but no writing, splits or tears.
