1964 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* LP

**SUPERB COPY**

This fine 1964 UK 1st mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1240
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.

Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-4N
Stamper numbers: 3,8/GLP & 2,8/APD

Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS

Outstandingly bright & clean surfaces which retain all their original deep gloss shine and appear 'as new' when viewed in strong daylight.
Careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few wispy sleeve removal/paper hairlines but no other marks or any scratches.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS

This copy has recieved only a few careful plays, and all tracks play cleanly & clearly without any significant or major deterioration to the sound quality.
Both run-ins and all bands play without intereference and there are no clicks, pops, jumps or any other major audible faults anywhere.


Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS

A superb example of this easily damaged cover, which retains an undamaged high-gloss laminate all round with no significant signs of wear.
The front panel leaf bears just a single tiny 2cm thumbnail and two small spine wrinkles but is otherwise completely unworn.
All the edges are sharp and clean with no feathering or tears. All four corners have no bumps or bruising.
The rear panel has a few tiny spine wrinkles but is otherwise unmarked and uncreased.

The inside is clean & black with bright white text and pictures & no rubbing, writing or missing paper.
The spine is square, unsquashed & retains its factory 'pinched' ends with no tears to the upper or lower spine.
Both inner flipbacks, spine & seams are in perfect condition.

Both discs have been carefully audibly graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
