Description
- Up for auction is a Beatles stereo original 2nd state “Butcher Cover” of “Yesterday And Today” (Capitol ST 2553, # 5 next to RIAA symbol on back cover).
- The front cover on this rarity shows light wear and aging with the “V” on Ringo’s sweater clearly showing though.
- The bottom seam is split all the way through and there is a water stain at the bottom of the back cover (see picture). The stain can also be seen on the inside of the front cover. It does not affect the front pastover cover and does not appear to affect the underlying front butcher cover but I cannot be sure of that fact. There is additional wear and aging on the back cover and name written on one back corner. The top seam and spine are in excellent condition.
- If you’re looking at this you know the story about this Beatles rarity so I am not going to repeat it here.
- Included is the original stereo LP. It has several light scratches and sleeve scuffs but, as with all Beatles "Butcher Cover” offerings, the record is secondary and should have minor consideration in your final bid. Also included is the original inner sleeve.
