HISTORY
RELEASE DATE: 9th March 1973
Lon & Derrek Van Eaton were a multi-instrumentalist brother duo who hailed from New Jersey. After playing some obscure bands, they were eventually signed to The Beatles' Apple Records label and released a couple of singles and an LP ''Brother'' (none of which amounted to much, hitwise). In spite of (or perhaps, because of) this, their Apple output has become highly collectable.

Most of the music produced on APPLE is unspectacular, but a few tunes are downright awesome pieces in George Harrison-styled folk motifs.
Both Lon and Derrek kept in touch with the Beatles, particularly George and Ringo, and both appear on Ringo's single 'PHOTOGRAPH'.

SLEEVE CONDITION
The Sleeve has a number of small things to mention about it.  Firstly on both sides you will see from the pictures, central at the top on both sides is some surface removal - as if sellotape has been present at some point and then removed harshly.  I do not know what caused this but it's a strange characteristic!  Had these two small surface rips not been there I would have been grading the sleeve higher. 
There is slight folding and creasing marking the curveture of the disc within as well as evidence of ringwear on both sides.  Again these can be seen in the pictures.
Also to mention are 2 retail stickers either side (one at £30, one at £28).  These are from my time of working in a collectors record shop in the 1980's when this item did not sell and I eventually negotiated a deal without realising how rare this item was.  I have kept both the stickers on (20+ years on) for fear of adding to the surface issues and will leave this to an expert sticker remover to deal with!!  Both stickers should fall straight off under some steam removal if so desired. 

Now I've said all that it has to be said that this is one of the RAREST PICTURE SLEEVES OF ALL TIME and certainly a HUGE APPLE RECORDS RARITY!!  It is unlikely that one will appear, certainly in mint condition, again for a while and that the chance to snap one up in any condition is desirable.
I have graded the sleeve as VG/Ex.  Overall the picture sleeve is on a thick card surface and bearing in mind the things written above, the text, print, the clearness of the white background it still is in fine form considering!      

LABELS
Both labels are in mint condition.  no surface marks, smudges, tears, stains, stickers or handwriting.  The Apple logo and print are sharp and clear as you will see from the pictures.

VINYL
The vinyls are also in mint condition.  Under bright light there is one or two very light surface marks but nothing to detract from the MINT grading I have given.  The record plays, on the only occasion it has been played in over 20 years, without any surface noise and therefore guaranteed MINT.  

SUMMARY
BEATLES-RELATED DEMO DISCS CAN APPEAR IN A VARIETY OF CONDITIONS ALTHOUGH CONTINUE TO BE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER, PARTICULARLY BY BEATLES FANS AND COLLECTORS WITH AN OVERALL INTEREST IN MUSIC HISTORY.  THE ITEM WOULD HAVE BEEN PRODUCED IN 1973 AND, DESPITE THE INITIAL APPEARANCE OF THE SLEEVE,  HAS SURVIVED WELL FOR 37 YEARS.
THIS ITEM WILL APPEAL TO RECORD COLLECTORS OF ALL INTERESTS AND GENRES DUE TO THE SCARCE AVAILABILITY OF THE PICTURE SLEEVE AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE THE DEMO VERSION OF A HIGHLY DESIRED AND COLLECTABLE APPLE RECORDS RELEASE.

HOW WILL THE ITEMS BE SENT?
7" Records:  The items will be sealed in a plastic sleeve before being placed securely in a reinforced (cardboard backed) appropriately sized envelope.  The envelope will also be sealed with tape for security reasons.   All items will need to be signed for, this is my guarantee to ensure delivery, to keep strictly to ebay policy, and to maintain my own commitment to a professional service.
If deemed necessary the vinyl may be seperated and sealed seperately from the picture sleeve(s) during transit in order to guarantee condition.
Also if deemed necessary additional cardboard reinforcement may be considered.
An email will be sent advising of the Tracking Number in order that the item can be tracked via the Royal Mail website.
Discounts on the postage of multiple items is available although each item will be wrapped and secured seperately. 

HOW QUICK CAN THE ITEMS BE SENT? 
Next day delivery cannot be guaranteed - although this is the aim - but a quick turnaround is promised so that the item is delivered as soon as possible.  With regards to overseas, again items will need to be signed for, and the time taken will depend on how Royal Mail takes to deliver to any particular area of the world.  With regards to North America this is often 3/4 working days, and with regards to Japan can be up to 8 working days.
