Description
Rare? RARE?? This is the rocking-horse droppings of the music world.
This item is a 7" recording of 'Warm Woman' (B-side 'More Than Words') by Lon & Derrek Van Eaton. It has the cat. no. APPLE 46
The record itself is in perfect condition, has no signs of damage apart from a very slight marking just above the spindle hole on side B, and a slight yellow mark (about 10mm x 4mm) where a sticky label has been removed from side A. It doesn't even look like it's been played.
The label on the record states that it is a demo record and not for sale. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a clear enough shot of the label, but it is as you would expect to see.
The cover is in average condition. There is some damage to the top edge (see photo), a slight split (about 20mm) along the bottom seam, slight circular marks on the front and back where pressure has been applied over some time and the centre of the record has pressed on the inside of the sleeve, and an old fold mark in the bottom-right hand corner. For a record that is nearly 37 years old, it is in far better nick than I am at the same age.
Now for the good bit. This record comes with an exteremely rare leaflet entitled, Fresh From Apple. As you can see from the photos, this leaflet fits inside the sleeve, has the wording 'Fresh From Apple' on the front, the Apple logo, and 54 St. James Street London SW1.
Inside the insert is a picture of the brothers and the wording;
'Warm Woman/More Than Words' Lon & Derek (sic) Van Eaton

This single is very rare indeed and would be a joy to add to any Apple collection, but, combined with this exceptionally rare insert, you have something special
