The Beatles – Beatles For Sale

‘Parlophone’ rim labels, ‘Recording First Published …’ and with ‘Sold in UK…’ label text, catalogue number PMC 1240. 

Matrix numbers: XEX 503-3N & XEX 504-3N

For the mono version of ‘Beatles For Sale’ -1N & -2N matrices were not used. The matrix sequence began at -3N. This disc has -3N on both sides, and numerically is the earliest possible matrix for this UK release, a genuine 1st pressing.

Vinyl=Near Mint / EX+ SleeveCover=VG++

There are signs this is a UK 1st pressing manufactured ahead of the December 4th 1964 release date.

The labels have the ‘Parlophone’ rim text (changed to 'Gramophone' within a few months). The labels also carry the wording ‘RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964’ (changed in a few months to '(P) 1964'). The disc has rare double digit mono stampers 0G and MP.

I have owned this since it was bought for me on release. Kept on a shelf in a smoke & pet-free home. The LP has received almost no play.
