Here is a NICE BOX SET for the high bidder!

·       THE CONCERT FOR BANGLA DESH by George Harrison & Company (Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Billy Preston, Leon Russell, Ringo Starr, Klaus Voorman, Badfinger, and Ravi Shankar)

·       This is Apple Records STCX – 3385.

·       This box set was issued December 20, 1971. 

·       This is the 1st PRESSING of this APPLE RECORDS BOX SET! How do I know?

1)   Because the initial boxes have an orange interior, and 2nd pressing boxes have a white interior. (see images)

2)   The 2nd pressing vinyl has custom labels with the “ALL RIGHTS RESERVED…” disclaimer printed on them.

·       This 3-record box set has custom Apple labels.

·       The box set contains:

1)   Box with Lid that holds the contents

2)   3 Vinyl LPs

3)   3 tan inner sleeves

4)   64-page color booklet

·       This concert is historic, as it was the FIRST benefit rock concert, and it brought together many great musical talents to raise money to aid the starving population of Bangla Desh.

One side is devoted to the music of Ravi Shankar (sitar)

·       The BOX itself is graded VG+ to NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION. There is only light to moderate overall wear on the box cover (a small slight sticker stain) and box bottom, sides and corners. (see images) The lid’s corners and the bottom’s corners are nice!!! (see images) Not a single corner split at all as is often the case with SO many of these box sets!!

·       The VINYL (all 6 sides) is in BEAUTIFUL NEAR MINT CONDITION! I only posted images of 1 of the 6 custom labels (due to 12-image limit).

·       The 3 INNER SLEEVES are included and are also NEAR MINT with NO SPLITS! These are the CORRECT TAN INNER SLEEVES for this pressing. Sometimes sellers will mix and match vinyl, covers and sleeves to arrive at a near mint item to sell. I don’t do that, as mismatched items negatively affect the value of the item. 

·       The 64-PAGE BOOKLET is included. It is in NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION with just light to moderate signs of handling.

·       It’s a GREAT GEORGE HARRISON box set of a LEGENDARY CONCERT in WONDERFUL CONDITION to add to your collection!!
