1968 UK 2nd PRESS *STEREO* LP
**RARE 'OUTLINE' STEREO LOGO COVER**
This rare 1968 UK 2nd STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3058
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed the rare front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with the outlined stereo logo.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-1
Stamper numbers: 3/OL & 2/MA
Just two faint spindle trails on either label.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both sides appear in MINT when viewed in strong daylight, with no groove-whitening or dulling to either surface from improper long-term storage.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few light inner-sleeve storage/paper marks but no other wear.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This oustanding sounding disc has been played just twice on top quality equipment only.
Every track - even the inner-most tracks - play cleanly & clearly, without any trace of any background noise or groovewear distortion.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently & there are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults.
(I only grade records which are unplayed as 'MINT')
Cover: EXCELLENT
This rare example is clean & strong, bearing only light handling & storagewear and no major signs of wear.
The front panel is clean & glossy with just a few light edge wrinkles & small 'thumbnail' creases toward the opening edge.
The lower corners have minor shelfwear but both opening edges are clean and without any tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel is clean & white with no significant marking or any writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, seams & the spine are all intact, in-place & undamaged.
This disc has been carefully audibly graded in its entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
