1965 UK 1st **MONO** PRESSING LP
**EXCELLENT COPY**
This excellent 1965 first mono pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, 'flipback' Garrod & Lofthouse cover.
Complete with its original lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper numbers: 5/GLD & 4/GLO
Cover: EXCELLENT
A bright and clean front panel retaining its high-gloss laminate which bears just a few light creases.
A slight disc impression is visible and there is a slight bruising to the upper left and lower right corner but the opening edge is clean, sharp and unworn.
The rear panel is pristine clean and white with no discolouration, marks or writing.
All 'flipbacks' are intact and in place and the spine is clean, square and completely unworn.
All seams are strong and show no signs of stress of splitting.

Very bright and clean surfaces bearing some wispy sleeve removal hairlines under a halogen desk lamp but no scuffs or scratches.
100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
The sound quality is super with all tracks, even 'Yesterday', playing loud and clear without crackle or groovewear distortion.
There are four low-level 'ticks' between tracks 2 & 3 on side 1, but otherwise both run-ins and all other bands play without interference.
A great sounding copy.
