THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
1965 UK 2nd *MONO* PRESSING LP
This extremely hard to 2nd MONO pressing variant is on the final incarnation of the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rim texts.
There is no tax/price code visible in the centre of either label.
Housed in a correct thinner card stock front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 449-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 9/MDT & 1,8/ATA
N.B. These stamper codes are almost identical as on a '1-EMI box' mono copy I sold a few weeks ago (item #350188693676). They were 9/MDT & 1,8/ATM.

This rare set is nice shape with only a few fingermarks and some spindle trails to each centre hole but no major faults.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Both surfaces of this ultra-rare disc are immaculate & unmarked in strong daylight with just a light few barely visible wispy paper hairlines upon close examination directly beneath my halogen desk lamp.
Play: EXCELLENT +
Having received some careful play only, all tracks sound perfectly clean & clear and are totally without any groovewear distortion or background noise. Both run-ins and all bands play without noise or interference, as does the delicate but perfect mono 'Yesterday'.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
With its thinner lighter card stock, this correct cover for this pressing is in respectable shape with some light handling & storagewear but certainly no major faults.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & unmarked with just light handling wear but no splits, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
