" JOLLY WHAT! THE BEATLES & FRANK IFIELD ON STAGE "
Beatles " JOLLY WHAT " Vee-Jay VJLP 1085 Mono issue!
Hello Beatle people! Welcome to my latest listing. This Album was released about the same time as version two of " INTRODUCING THE BEATLES " in late February, 1964. VJLP was a cleverly arranged album, Given the Title' " JOLLY WHAT! THE BEATLES & FRANK IFIELD ON STAGE " this was merely another way for Vee-Jay to repackage already released material, for the Legally impaired record label. At the time Vee-Jay was in dire straits to cash in on Beatlemania, Before the company lost it's right to to manufacture and distribute Beatles records. THE COVER: for this copy is listed in the Bruce Spizer " THE BEATLES ON VEE-JAY Records " as VJ 1085.MC1. The Condition of the cover is a very nice VG+, As the photo's show, it has some minor wear. The front of the cover has some light wear towards the bottom of the cover, And a faint scratch on the "E " of the word "Beatles". The spine area is in excellent condition, with very minimal wear, The print on the spine is completely legible. The top seam is in very decent condition, with a 3" area of paper loss from the spine corner towards the Mouth, But suffers no spliting. The bottom seam only has some light wear & paper loss, with no splitting. All four corner's have light wear & crinkles, but are in very good overall shape. THE RECORD LABELS & VINYL: the record labels & Vinyl for this item are listed in the Spizer reference guide as VJ 1085.MR3 THE LABELS: feature the all black label with silver print, and large VJ logo with left justified artists-only credits. The words " LONG PLAYING" and "MICROGROOVE" do NOT! appear on the Label. TRAIL OFF MARKINGS: The trail off marking's are as follow's, The Matrix number is 64-3852 on side 1 and 64-3853 on side 2; The job number triangle6295 on side 1 and triangle6295X on side 2; and the date 1-18-64 and the initials "URJ" on both sides, The MR logo has been scratched over. LABELS CONDITION: The labels are in excellent NM- condition with a minimal amount of wear on the spindle hole, They are very clean & bright, Very nice Label's. RECORD VINYL CONDITION: the record vinyl is in VG++ condition, It has a couple of of minor scratches on both sides of the record, But they are very minor and do not take away from it's appearance, The Vinyl has a very nice sheen to it. This my friends is a very nice set, It is highly collectible and is in Excellent condition. Dont let this one get away, it will make a fine addition to any collection, and is a sound investment grade item. Please bid with confidence, I have traded in Quality Beatles collectible's since 1978. Please know that im also a collector, and I view the Hobby from the buyer's perspective. Please also know that I take my packing seriously, And go to great lengths to secure your item for shipping, The record will be removed from the cover for shipping purposes.
