READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1963 Meet the Beatles! NO ASCAP OR BMI FIRST PRESSING in PARTIAL SHRINK!

Who would I be insulting by describing the scarcity of this pressing?

Vinyl--- VG/ VG+.  Side 1 has a small, lightly feelable mark at the end of side 1, which will sound for a couple rotations.  Otherwise, there are only spiderweb lines, and not many at that.  Side 2 is such a strong VG+ that it’s tempting to grade it Excellent.  Most probably would.

Plates--- F3/ F1.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- VG.  NO PRODUCED BY GEORGE MARTIN. Structurally solid.  All seams and spine are muscular-strong.  The partial shrink, however, didn’t protect the cover where it’s missing.  Moderate yellowing and foxing on back cover.  See photo.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the back cover at the bottom, one to the left of the words, “Cover photo,” the other under George’s name.

Labels--- VG+.  Minimal wear only.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Original blue Capitol inner sleeve is present, and in VG condition.  Sleeve presents as Excellent.  Bold colors, flat corners.  But there is a bottom center seam split about 3 inches.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 3.

Very respectable keeper copy, or an excellent filler!  Up to you.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
