READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles LP 1965 Beatles VI First Pressing Los Angeles in Shrink, NM!

Many rare Beatles albums still in shrink listed this week.

Vinyl--- EX/ NM.  The only thing keeping Side 1 from a NM grading is an incredibly light scuff on the first track.  Otherwise, both sides look 1965-new!

Plates--- B12/ B14.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Cover--- NM.  This cover looks 1965-brand new.  But that’s because the previous owner has very neatly taped the shrinkwrap to the cover at the mouth, both sides.  Tape has yellowed, but it doesn’t look like the cover did on either side.  It did a splendid job, preserving the cover.  The shrinkwrap is tight against the cover, keeping all the seams and back cover white, the top front slick cream-colored and the entire cover free from any ringwear or dirtwear.  NO SPLITS.

Back cover has the “See label for correct playing order” disclaimer, making this a first pressing cover.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover.  One is in the letter “V,” and the other is due south in George’s shirt, stage left of his tie.

Labels--- NM/ NM.  Flat-textured labels with tightly-spaced “STEREO.”  “Words of Love” has the ASCAP song publishing designation, making this a first pressing.  Subsequent pressings were changed to BMI.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Original 1965 white Capitol inner sleeve is present and in VG condition.  Both side seams are split about 4 inches.  Pencil drawing of a 3-D box on one side.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 6.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
