READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1968 Magical Mystery Tour Subsidiary of…Cobalt Blue Dome & Perimeter Text, VG+!
I have never known where these labels come from. Collectors are aware of the far more familiar silver/white domes or the bluish white domes. But these 1968 Cobalt Blue domes with corresponding blue perimeter texts are so few and far between that there isn’t much rhyme or reason yet discernable.
Most often seen on original pressings from the early 1960’s, those labels had white OR blue perimeter text with Cobalt Blue domes, and even those original blue perimeter texts are rare. The only titles from the 1968 “Subsidiary of…” black labels that come to mind with both Cobalt Blue domes and perimeter text are this one, and The Beatles’ Story.
Vinyl--- VG+. That’s not a bad grade, still a nice record. Both sides have these patches of cloudiness in their playing surfaces. (See photo.) They look like manufacturer’s defects. Apart from those, the LP would have graded NM.
Plates--- A21/A21. Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.
Cover--- VG+. That’s not a bad grade either. This cover is 100% structurally solid, NO SPLITS. And that includes the gatefold seam. Book is completely intact, not loose in the slightest. The only real issue is that the front and back covers have light to moderate ringwear, very light dirtwear and the inside panels have light browning from the decades.
Still a nice cover!
Labels--- NM/NM. Full gloss. Bright and colorful graphics. NO SPINDLE MARKS.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG. Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show. Heavily browned from the decades. All 3 seams have small splits.
A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.
RIAA: N/A.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
