READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1975 Apple The Beatles’ Story LA Pressing HTF "All Rights" NM!

By far, whenever you see a copy of The Beatles’ Story on the “All Rights” label, it’s going to be the consigned pressing with the concentric ring close to the outer edge of the label.  I think it’s Columbia using Los Angeles plates, because the asterisk is in the dead wax of that label.  The disclaimer is at the bottom below the Apple, on two lines.  See compere photo. 

Any other variation from the 1975 “All Rights” run is very hard to find.  (In fact, it’s next to impossible to find the Winchester plant’s pressing with the consignment variation having the disclaimer is at the bottom below the Apple, on two lines.  Start looking for one now.  It will have darker Apple labels with the concentric groove in the normal Capitol position, closer to the playhole.  You’re not going to find one.  The consigned pressing is the dominant one that you will always find.)

This copy for sale is the true Los Angeles pressing with the disclaimer on the full Apple labels on two lines above the playhole, and on five lines on the sliced Apple labels in different positions.

These are out there once in a while, but not often, and not in NM condition, like this copy.

Vinyl--- NM/NM. NM/NM.  All four sides look frighteningly close to unplayed.  Side 2 has one extremely light line that you’ll have to search for.

Plates--- A5/H9. G8/G8.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Cover--- Nice VG.  Structurally solid, NO SPLIT SEAMS.  Cover has uniformly yellowed over the decades.  Top two seams have light shelfwear.  Beautiful spine, has both stereo and mono catalogue numbers, which some people freak out over.  Which they shouldn’t, because it’s no big deal.

Gatefold--- Nice VG.  Same as above.  NO CENTER SEAM SPLITS.

Labels--- NM/NM.  NM/NM.  Some typical manufacturer’s marks, but NO SPINDLE MARKS among all four labels.

Capitol Inner Sleeves--- Nice VG.  Generic white inner sleeves with die-cut holes for the labels to show are present. Some wrinkling, due to factory insertions, very light record outdent to both sleeves.  Both sleeves are uniformly yellowed from the decades, but NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Generic inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeves en route.

RIAA: None

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
